Sorry, guys. I know I’ve been a little quiet on the blog front recently, but I promise I have a good reason. And my good reason is this:
Yep. That’s a tibial fracture. And no, it’s not me. If it was me, I’d probably be propped up in a chair with my latest WIP finished by now. No, unfortunately, this X-ray is of my three year-old daughter. She attempted to jump on a stack of pillows which, let’s be honest, sounds really fun, but ended up rolling her ankle and fracturing her leg instead. And since she’s three, she doesn’t really understand what’s going on. And she’s obviously too young for crutches. Which means this momma has spent the last few weeks carrying her around everywhere, waiting on her hand and foot, and “sleeping” next to her bed to ensure she doesn’t try to get up and make her injury worse.
Needless to say, I’ve gotten very little writing done (okay, I’ve gotten NO writing done). But that’s okay. Because you know what? It always comes down to that which matters most.
And right now, that’s my daughter.
So forgive my absence, readers, as I tend to job #1: motherhood. I shall return when the heavens allow (and her bone fuses back together). 🙂
