  1. A reluctance to put down this heart-wrenching story of strength and survival speaks of its worthiness. Wright has penned a truthful description of the challenges of dust and dirt in the mid 1930’s, underscoring what all those associated with farming know. For everyone, the fierce expectations in relationships, even today, give pause to considering the “what matters” cornerstones of marriage. “If It Rains” offers a platform for understanding “faith” through the cool raindrops nourishing body and soul. The scarcity of water and food portrays a thirsty, hungry parallel of our own heart’s “soil,” in which we wonder if faith can grow. Kudos to this amazing new author!
